Social & Welcoming Ministry

The Social Ministry will schedule, plan and provide after Mass socials, and other social activities such as Potluck and Brunches.  The Welcoming Ministry will establish and promote the welcoming of new parishioners and schedule Greeters for each Mass.

Fellowship coffee

Fellowship Coffee is in Founders Hall after Mass each Sunday and is a wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow parishioners and guests.  It is one more way we make St. Dominic Mission a vibrant, friendly community of Faith and service.

Sharing Mass, friendship, coffee and treats is the perfect way to begin the week!

Help is needed in the following areas:

  • BEFORE MASS: Make coffee and set out cups.

  • AFTER COMMUNION: Arrange food on the serving tables, make lemonade, hot water for tea etc.

  • AFTER MASS: Pour coffee and make additional coffee as needed.

AFTER COFFEE: General clean-up, turn off lights and close up.

WELCOME BACK GATHERING

The enjoyment of great friends, food, music and more is at the heart of the St. Dominic Mission Brunches and Potlucks.

PASTA DINNER FOR VOLUNTEERS

Our Annual Pasta Dinner for Volunteers is typically scheduled for the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.  Watch the bulletin for exact dates.  Volunteers are all those who have participated or will participate in any church function or capacity during the season. This includes all Ministries, all Committees, Pastoral and Finance Councils, the Choir, those who assist with the Sunday Coffees/Socials, have brought food, or are scheduled to bring food or any other activity in which they may be involved.
